Pickering made available an agenda of the August 21st Candidates Information Session here.
The second candidates information session will be hosted by The City of Oshawa and is scheduled for Wednesday, September 5 in the committee room at Oshawa City Hall (50 Centre Street South) at 6:30pm. At this session, candidates will learn about the role of the City Clerk, election sign regulation, the election services complaints procedure, advance voting opportunity, vopting opportunity for electors in senior houses and long-term care facilities, what will happen on voting day, voting procedure,s and voting tabulators, accessiility provisions, results reporting, the Compliance Audit Committee, and council orientation,
This is my first time being a certified candidate in a municipal election. Because I’m hard-of-hearing, I requested a CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) System be setup for these candidate information sessions. The City Clerk inform me that they CART will be used in both sessions. A big part of living in a barrier-free Oshawa- is just asking for help.
